National Examination Preparation: Aiming for a 100% Pass Rate!
National Examination Preparation
Classes with an original Toyoshinkyu textbook and truly caring support
Classes use a problem set produced by full time Toyoshinkyu faculty. Once students enter their third and final year there are practice tests once a month, national examination preparation classes twice a week, and an intensive summer seminar.
In Japan, people will paint one eye of a daruma doll when making a wish to achieve something difficult or something that will require effort. The other eye of the daruma doll is painted once the goal has been successfully achieved. At Toyoshinkyu, when it gets close to the national examination test date we paint one eye of a traditional daruma doll, with students preparing for the examination and their teachers collectively making a wish for everyone to pass that year’s exams.
The Toyoshinkyu Original Online Comprehensive Academic Support System
Toyoshinkyu started an online comprehensive academic support system in order to enrich our national examination preparation. Students can access this system online even if they are not at Toyoshinkyu. We hope students utilize this comprehensive academic support system, which is online so students can use it whenever and wherever they please.
A Happy Graduate: I passed the National Exams!
Tetsu Tanabe, March 2014 graduate of the Acupuncture, Moxibustion, and Anma/Massage/Shiatsu course
In March 2014, I passed the national examinations to become licensed in Anma/Massage/Shiatsu, Acupuncture, and Moxibustion. The practice test I took about a year ago made me realize I did not understand as much as I thought. After that, I really hit the books. I focused on the practice exam questions made by the teachers here, but the online comprehensive academic support system operated by Toyoshinkyu was also very helpful. I believe it was good for me have effective classes on national examination preparation and to be able to study at my own pace online. The day before the national examinations I was so nervous I did not sleep well and was really worried, but I managed to successfully pass.
Being able to quit my job and start down this path after being a working adult for 23 years is an accomplishment I wholly believe is due to the understanding of my family and friends. I hope anyone who is thinking about becoming licensed to practice anma/massage/shiatsu, acupuncture, and/or moxibustion will always remember their initial enthusiasm. Also, I hope they really discuss their decision with the people around them. Friends and family will definitely support you if they can feel your passion, and this support will help keep you moving forward.
